Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Ketel Marte has been removed from the lineup Sunday in the team's game against the New York Yankees.
Marte is dealing with a non-COVID illness. As a result, he has been removed from the lineup. Jordan Lawlar will enter, playing shortstop and batting seventh versus Yankees starter Carlos Rodon.
In 628 plate appearances this season, Marte has a .279 batting average with an .849 OPS, 24 home runs, 91 runs, 80 RBI and 7 stolen bases.
