Yordan Alvarez (illness) batting cleanup Monday for Astros
Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez (illness) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup versus right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Monday afternoon.
Alvarez is reportedly battling an upset stomach and headaches, but he will remain in the lineup for Game 2. He didn't participate in the Game 1 introductions on Sunday night and then went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts.
