Brett Baty (hamstring) out for Mets Wednesday afternoon
New York Mets infielder Brett Baty (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Bailey Falter and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Baty tweaked his hamstring on Tuesday, but the Mets have already planned on holding the lefty hitter out against a southpaw pitcher. Zack Short will start on third base and bat ninth.
Short is currently one of numberFire's top values among batters on Wednesday. He has a $2,000 salary and our models project him for 9.7 FanDuel points.
