Edwin Encarnacion blasts home run, three RBI's as Blue Jays crush Mariners
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion blasted a solo home run while tallying three RBI's on 2-for-5 hitting in the Jays 10-2 blowout of the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday.
That makes 42 home runs on the season for Encarnacion, matching his career-high and bringing him to second in the majors, one behind Baltimore's Mark Trumbo for first place. Encarnacion also ranks second in the majors with a career-high 123 RBI's.
It has been another strong year from the dish for the 33-year-old Encarnacion, who is slashing .267/.354/.549 with a .379 wOBA and .281 ISO through 653 plate appearances.
