Wei-Yin Chen throws a gem as Miami shuts out Seattle
Miami Marlins pitcher Wei-Yin Chen didn't give up a single hit through seven innings of work on Tuesday as the Marlins shut out the Seattle Mariners 5-0.
The Marlins as a team didn't give up a single hit until the ninth inning in this one. Chen walked two and struck out two in the win -- his second of the season.
Through three starts (16 innings pitched) in 2017, Chen owns a 4.44 SIERA, a 15.4 percent strikeout rate and a 1.06 WHIP while limiting opponents to a 27.5 percent hard-hit rate.
