Aaron Judge up to MLB-best 13 home runs as Yankees rally
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 3-for-5 with a two-run rocket and two runs scored in an 8-6 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Judge took Marcus Stroman deep to center in the third inning, increasing his total to 13 on the year, two more than the next closest big league hitter. Perhaps even more impressive, the 25-year-old slugger has reduced his strikeout rate from 44.2 percent last year, to 26.0 percent through 25 games this season.
Judge owns a .330/.433/.818 slash with 28 runs scored and 27 RBI's in 104 plate appearances. numberFire's models don't believe he can keep this blistering pace up, and we project him to hit only 12 more taters over the rest of the season.
