5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 13

The third quarter of the NFL season has come and gone with the 13th week of gridiron action.

The week kicked off with the Washington Redskins giving up 38 points in a bad loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, dropping them to third place in the NFC East.

Then on Sunday, we saw the Kansas City Chiefs' losing streak continue to four games, as they fell to the New York Jets despite Alex Smith's big 4-touchdown performance. And the Denver Broncos continued their forgettable season, picking up their ninth loss getting blown out by the Miami Dolphins.

In the night games, the Seattle Seahawks handed the Philadelphia Eagles just their second loss of the season, before the Pittsburgh Steelers' high-powered offense capped off a big comeback with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in a violent game that led to multiple injuries and suspensions.

Before we move on to Week 14, here are five stats to know -- some of which are traditional, some of which are our advanced statistics, like Net Expected Points (NEP) -- through the first 13 weeks of the NFL's regular season.
