Bears' Alshon Jeffery attributes suspension to anti-inflammation medication
Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery attributed his four-game PED suspension to taking a "recommended supplement to combat inflammation."
Jeffery admitted the supplement contained an ingredient that is on the NFL's banned substance list, and said he takes "full responsibility" for not looking into it enough. He'll be eligible to return in Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers, and then closes out the year in Weeks 16 and 17 against Washington and the Minnesota Vikings.
Jeffery saw nine targets in Week 10 -- catching four of them -- for 3.73 Net Expected Points, per numberFire Live.
