Melvin Gordon remains day-to-day for Chargers
San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon (hip, knee) remains "day to day," head coach Mike McCoy said Monday.
He was noncommittal on Gordon's Week 17 availability against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gordon needs just three yards to reach 1,000 yards rushing, but his health remains an obstacle. The Chargers have not detailed the severity of Gordon's injuries. If Gordon can't go, Ronnie Hillman could be San Diego's feature back versus Kansas City.
Gordon's -0.03 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt ranks 35th among the 64 running backs with at least 50 attempts this year.
