Browns' Terrelle Pryor remains unlikely candidate for franchise tag
The Cleveland Browns will not franchise tag free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, The Cleveland Plain Dealer confirms.
This was first reported by Monday Morning Quarterback's Albert Breer a little over a week ago. Pryor has said publicly that he wants to remain in Cleveland, and he's reportedly seeking $10-11 million per year in a long-term deal. It remains to be seen if the interest will be reciprocated by the Browns at that asking price.
Pryor's 0.68 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target ranked 23rd among the 41 wide receivers to see at least 100 targets this year. That's a surprisingly good mark for a receiver who played in the league's seventh-worst passing attack by schedule-adjusted Offensive Passing NEP per play.
