Bills' Jordan Matthews (chest) expected to be starter for Week 1
Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott expects wide receiver Jordan Matthews to start Sunday's game against the New York Jets, according to WKBW's Joe Buscaglia.
Matthews hasn't been active in team activities since suffering a chip fracture of his sternum in his first practice after being dealt to the Bills. All the same, he must be up to speed on the offense enough to serve as a starter opposite rookie Zay Jones on the outside. Just don't expect a big week out of him because he may have his limitations to start out the season.
At a price of $6,300 for his Bills debut, Matthews is projected for 4.4 catches, 48.0 receiving yards and 0.47 touchdowns on 7.1 targets. His 9.8 projected FanDuel points are tops of the Buffalo receiving core.
