Chiefs' Andy Reid says Charcandrick West is more like Jamaal Charles
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said running back Charcandrick West has a more similar skill set to Jamaal Charles than Knile Davis.
With Charles out for the season, there's a big opportunity to be had as the Chiefs' top back. West out-touched Davis, eight to two, in Week 5 when Charles went down.
West appears to be the clear top option in this situation both in season-long and daily. He has turned his 12 carries this year into 0.57 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP), while Davis is at -0.46 on his 11 rushes. Additionally, Davis had 134 carries last year and finished 41st in Rushing NEP per play out of 43 running backs with at least 100 carries. Until further notice, West is the top option.
