FanDuel is now offering Call of Duty League DFS, and we have another set of matches for Friday. If you are new to Call of Duty DFS, I put together a quick introduction piece to give you the basics. The rosters are similar to CS:GO DFS, and we'll take a look at a few different things to break down some players in good situations.
Quick note, this locks at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 17th

This event will feature three teams from the top half of the league -- including New York, who won the event last week -- and four teams from the bottom half of the league, including the bottom three teams.
MVP - 1.5x Points
Mack, New York ($9,800) is coming off an amazing event during the New York Home Series, which helped his team capture a first-place finish. They started the season slowly, but this team now finds themselves in a playoff spot and looking to build on that this week. Mack comes in with a staggering 106 FanDuel points or more in seven straight series, along with 101 points or more in 12 of his last 13 series.
Since his addition to the starting lineup in April, he's been nothing short of fantastic and is a sure-fire lock anytime he is on the slate. Save salary elsewhere, and find a way to get Mack into your lineups.
Huke, Dallas Empire ($10,100) is back in action after a few weeks off and needs to help Dallas put up a strong effort this weekend. After being a clear top-three team in the league, Dallas has dropped to fourth overall and now has to fight off a red-hot New York squad. Hopefully the few weeks off doesn't impact Huke too much, as he was posting monster numbers every time out.
Over his last six series, Huke posted 95 FanDuel points or more in each series, 4 Domination Captures or more in three of the four series, and held a positive kill-to-death differential in five of those six series. Considering Dallas' first-round match is against the Paris Legion (7-14), we could be looking at a quick sweep, thus awarding the 15 points for Map Not Played Bonus.
Players
Octane, Seattle Surge ($8,900) is an All-Star caliber player, but he is on the worst team in the league. This turns out to be a good thing from a fantasy perspective since he isn't too expensive, but we know that he will be putting up solid fantasy points each and every series. Octane's last event was a few weeks ago at the Minnesota Home Series, where he posted 29.55 Kills per 10 Minutes (Kp10M) in Hardpoint, averaged 18.67 Kills per Game in Domination, 3.33 Domination Captures per game, and 6.60 Kills per Game in Search and Destroy.
This level of production is normal for Octane, which has led him to produce 104 FanDuel points or more in six straight series. On a point-per-dollar basis, Octane could be one of the best options on the slate, but he isn't a punt play. He has flashed upside of 166 and 141 FanDuel points, showing he is a really good player. He offers an amazing salary, a high level of consistency, and a massive ceiling of points.
Havok, Florida Mutineers ($8,700) and Florida have vaulted themselves up the standings with back-to-back tournament wins at the Minnesota and Paris Home Series. As you can imagine, the fantasy production from their players has been amazing over this time, and with Havok being at a very affordable salary, he should be a top option on this slate.
If you look back at his game log, you can see Havok has posted 110 FanDuel points or more in six straight series, with 5 Domination Captures or more in five of those six series, along with over 100 seconds of Hardpoint Capture time in four of the six series. Putting up points in all areas helps him maintain a consistent floor.
Aqua, Los Angeles Guerrillas ($8,200) is one of the cheaper players on the slate and is on a bad team, but he is fully viable in DFS. With the new Search and Destroy Kill Bonus of one point, every kill in that mode is twice as valuable -- which is great for a player who is historically known for his strength in that game mode.
Just last weekend, Aqua played a total of 21 rounds in Search and Destroy, posting a total of 19 kills. Averaging nearly one kill per round is amazing -- combined with the fact he had eight Bombs Planted/Defused. He is picking up points in what is normally the lowest-scoring game mode, turning it into one of his highest-scoring games.
Teams
New York Subliners ($5,600) won last week's event, yet they are sitting with only the fourth-most expensive salary. So they're a bit under-priced given how strong they look, and they are a clear choice for the team spot with 28 FanDuel points or more in three of their last six series. They could end up as one of the most popular teams due to their salary and their matchup against the weak Los Angeles Guerrillas.
Florida Mutineers ($5,800) have won the last two Home Series they have attended and are now the second-most expensive team on the slate -- rightfully so. They have 24.5 FanDuel points or more in six straight series and are a clear-cut favorite over OpTic Gaming Los Angeles to start this event.
