When Edinson Volquez takes the mound, it's usually a good idea to take a look at the fantasy options on the other team, especially the left-handed hitters.

He's allowing a .341 wOBA with a 4.68 xFIP against lefties on the season, making this is a great matchup for Joe Mauer.

Mauer is sporting a .337 wOBA and 31.3% hard-hit percentage on the year, while slashing a decent .288/.399/.424 with a .353 ISO against right-handed pitching. Those aren't awe-inspiring numbers, but they're certainly solid enough to make him a strong play against Volquez at this price.
