FanDuel Price: $2,800
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Top options Corey Seager, Xander Bogaerts, and Francisco Lindor are all in great spots today. Jose Reyes may gain some attention as a value play, but the presence of three appealing top options will likely keep him from being too highly owned.
Why You Should Use Him:
Reyes has multi-hit performances in back-to-back games and has been very effective as New York's leadoff hitter while healthy this season, averaging 12.1 FanDuel points per game.
He should find himself hitting leadoff once again tonight, in an advantageous matchup against righty Zack Godley. Godley has a 5.24 ERA on the year and has struggled mightily against lefties in his career, seeing his 3.88 xFIP against righties rise to 4.44 against lefties.
Reyes, a switch-hitter, has hit better from the left side of the plate in his career, posting slight improvements against right-handed pitching across the board. He should have no problem being productive as the leadoff hitter in a Mets offense projected for 4.9 runs against Godley. He is a viable play in all formats tonight.
