Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Hitters facing stud pitching often go underowned, and facing Stephen Strasburg will lead to some low ownership percentages for the Baltimore Orioles, including slugger Chris Davis. And Davis is certainly prone to high strikeouts; he is striking out a career-high 33.1% of the time this year.
Why You Should Use Him:
Davis is one of the streakiest hitters in all of baseball, and right now, he is on fire. He is slugging .583 in August with a .350 ISO. He has hit five home runs in his last five games, and he's playing at home, which ranks in the top half of MLB stadiums for home runs in 2016 per ESPN.
Strasburg has struggled a little more in the second half, sporting a 3.94 xFIP (versus 3.00 xFIP in the first half). I like the Orioles and especially Davis for a big Monday effort at low ownership.
