Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The Twins face lefty Jose Quintana, who is at the top of the American League with a 2.77 ERA. Quintana has had some struggles against right-handed bats, but Brian Dozier will likely see the lion's share of attention in Minnesota's lineup due to his strong platoon numbers.
Why You Should Use Him:
Trevor Plouffe has had an up and down season in 2016, limited to only 312 plate appearances due to a few injuries during the year. But in August, he's rounded into form, recording his best one-month clips in strikeout rate (16%) and on-base percentage (.358), and his second-best month in wOBA (.328).
Plouffe also enjoys the same platoon advantage that Dozier does, but it's just not to the same extent. Plouffe sees an increase in OPS (85 points) and ISO (80 points) against left-handed pitching. Factor in Plouffe's hard hit rate of 41.2% against lefties, and he makes for a sneaky option.
