FanDuel Price: $2,600
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Travis Jankowski and the San Diego Padres are heavy underdogs (-190) on Tuesday and only sport an implied team total of 3.7 runs. Jankowski is priced outside the top-100 outfielders. Most of that is probably due to his last 10 games, a stretch in which he has only scored double-digit fantasy points two times.
Why You Should Use Him:
Jankowski will face Clay Buchholz, who's been bad in all capacities in 2016. Buchholz has a SIERA of 5.16 and is walking 9.6% of hitters. If he can get on base, Jankowski's speed can do a lot of damage.
As bad as Buchholz has been, he is significantly worse against left-handed sticks, who are sporting a .371 wOBA against him. His walk rate also more than doubles from righties (6.4%) to lefties (13.2%).
Buchholz is striking out and walking lefties at an identical rate, which is a recipe for disaster. Jankowski is a great option, and given his recent struggles, he shouldn't be a popular play.
