FanDuel Price: $7,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The Pittsburgh Pirates' pitching staff has been obliterated in the first two games of their series with the St. Louis Cardinals as the Red Birds have racked up 21 runs and 29 hits.
While the starting pitching is normally the culprit -- and it was not great on Tuesday -- even closer Tony Watson was hit hard, giving up three jacks to Matt Carpenter, Randal Grichuk and Jhonny Peralta.
With Pittsburgh only slight favorites on the day and facing the red-hot Cardinals' offense, Jameson Taillon will more than likely see small ownership on Wednesday.
Why You Should Use Him:
Taillon has been fantastic so far in 2016, and he's averaging 28.3 FanDuel points per start. The 24-year-old is sporting a 3.49 SIERA over his 14 starts. While the sample size is small, Taillon has been brilliant in his 50 innings at PNC Park, sporting a 2.70 ERA and 3.36 xFIP.
Taillon also seems to be getting better as the year progresses. In the second half, he's dropped his walk rate to a microscopic 3.3%, and he is allowing 0.98 home runs per nine innings. He's also hiked his strikeout rate up 3.0% in the second half.
