FanDuel Price: $8,200
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Tanner Roark faces off against Jose Fernandez, and he is an underdog (-147 moneyline). At home, Fernandez sports a 1.77 ERA 96 2/3 innings with a 37.3% strikeout rate. As a result, Roark should be a low-owned option.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Fernandez certainly has been fantastic in 2016, Roark has been great in his own right. Roark ranks fifth in baseball with a 2.75 ERA. In three September starts, Roark has allowed a total of three earned runs with a 24.3% strikeout rate.
Roark leads the National League with seven starts of seven scoreless innings more, and given his tough matchup, he should be an excellent pivot play.
