Chicago Cubs

The lineup could have even more pop with Kyle Schwarber back in the lineup, but it'll be important to see how he handles the field, which could be a factor in how often he's in the leadoff spot for Chicago.

The biggest question is how they replace Dexter Fowler's production in center field, with Albert Almora Jr. and Jon Jay both expected to have an impact. Wade Davis will replace Aroldis Chapman at closer, but after multiple stints on the disabled list last year, it'll be important to make sure he's also healthy and ready to go.

St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis parted ways with Matt Holliday, but got a new leadoff man in Fowler. That will likely allow the team to move Matt Carpenter to first base and hit him in the three hole. The move could create a position battle at third base, which is something to monitor.

Alex Reyes -- the team's top pitching prospect -- will have elbow surgery and miss the season, but Lance Lynn returns after missing all of last season with elbow issues of his own.

Pittsburgh Pirates

After plenty of talk that the Pirates would trade Andrew McCutchen, all he did was switch positions. Gold Glove winner Starling Marte will shift to center and Gregory Polanco will be in left, while McCutchen will take over duties in right.

Although he's a .292 career hitter, the 2013 NL MVP batted a career-low .256 last season with a career-high 143 strikeouts. Can he bounce back? If he does, he will likely take a fantasy team a long way because he currently has an average draft position of 68.4 in NFBC drafts -- lower than both Marte (24.2) and Polanco (64.9).

Milwaukee Brewers

Everyone in the fantasy community knows about Jonathan Villar now after the numbers he put up last season (.285, 19 homers, 63 RBI, MLB-best 62 stolen bases). He's expected to move to second base after playing shortstop and third base in 2016, making him even more valuable from a position eligibility standpoint.

The Brewers have another speedster in outfielder Keon Broxton, who had 23 steals in only 75 games last season.

Cincinnati Reds

The Reds' biggest offseason acquisition was reliever Drew Storen, who could find himself as the closer after Cincinnati had a dreadful year in the bullpen.

The team traded Brandon Phillips to Atlanta, which should open the door for Jose Peraza at second base, who hit .324 with 21 steals in 72 games last season.
