With both A.J. Pollock and David Peralta back from injury, the Arizona Diamondbacks have themselves a saucy-looking lineup that could score a ton of runs. All indications this spring have been that Brandon Drury will bat fifth in this cavalcade of Gucciness, and we need to get him in our lives.

Drury logged 499 plate appearances in his rookie 2016 season, finishing with a 32.9% hard-hit rate and 20.0% strikeout rate. Both of those are fully acceptable, especially in a park that boosts hitters as much as Chase Field does. Drury had lower strikeout rates in the minors, and if he can tap back into that, there's more room for upside in his batting average.

The one issue with Drury -- along with others in Arizona -- is his fly-ball rate. Drury sat at 29.6% overall last year, below the league average for non-pitchers of 34.9%. He did push that up to 34.3% from August 1st on, but this number puts a bit of a cap on his long-ball potential.

Regardless, here's Drury situational profile. He's a young, improving batter who will be holding a high-leverage spot in one of baseball's better offenses while playing in a hitter-friendly park. That's a lot of boxes to check, and it means we can depend on Drury when scrambling for third basemen late.
