FanDuel Price: $7,700
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There are several studs on the board Tuesday to choose from, including Jake Arrieta, Carlos Carrasco, and Johnny Cueto.
That alone is enough to pay up for one of them instead of saving money with Jake Odorizzi, especially since he wasn't particularly sharp this spring (4.91 ERA in 11 innings).
Why You Should Use Him:
Odorizzi is a great play for a couple reasons: the weakness of the lineup he's about to face and the and his opposing starter.
In 2016, the Yankees ranked in the bottom echelon against right-handed pitching, ranking 21st in wOBA and striking out 20.0% of the time.
Odorizzi will lock horns with CC Sabathia, who did record his lowest ERA since 2012. However, Sabathia was absolutely brutal in July (5.93 ERA) and August (5.35), and followed that up with a less than impressive 6.75 ERA over 12 spring innings.
Given the high-priced studs available, Odorizzi should see low ownership, but has a great chance at a quality start and win on Tuesday.
