FanDuel Price: $2,600
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There are a few elite shortstops available on the Thursday slate, with Corey Seager taking aim against Jered Weaver, along with Trea Turner facing Tom Koehler. In addition, the San Francisco Giants will take their cuts against Robbie Ray, who allowed only a .298 wOBA to lefties in 2016.
Why You Should Use Him:
While the platoon isn't in Brandon Crawford's advantage in this matchup, let's not forget he's no slouch against lefties, either -- he posted a respectable wRC+ of 96 in 2016, and has posted a career mark of 95. He also posted a career-high 37.9% hard-hit rate against southpaws last season.
Let's not forget that Thursday's tilt takes place at Chase Field, which is great for offense after ranking second in runs created according to ESPN's Park Factors. Crawford would be a good way to get some exposure to this game without committing too much salary.
