FanDuel Price: $4,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The cheapest starting pitcher on Monday's slate, Pittsburgh Pirates starter Tyler Glasnow may see low ownership, as studs Jacob deGrom and Jon Lester take the bump. Glasnow sported only a 17.5% strikeout rate last year in his short big league action, and other choices may be far more popular on the day, even with the low price tag.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Glasnow didn't have a huge whiff rate last year, he has had a pretty healthy one throughout most of his minor league stops. Glasnow's lowest strikeout rate at any level since 2015 is a robust 26.1%.
In addition, the Cincinnati Reds are no strangers to swinging and missing. In 2016, the Reds struck out 20.6% of the time against right-handed pitching.
All in all, this could make for a nice upside play.
