The Seattle Mariners stole Walker with a compensatory pick in the 2010 draft. In turn, Walker yielded top-10 value with 338 strikeouts to 173 earned runs in 373 innings pitched.

Nick Castellanos took full advantage of his own opportunity with the Detroit Tigers. Through 437 career games, the third baseman has become a solid player, hitting double-digit home runs in three straight seasons and totaling 206 RBI in 1,570 at-bats.

Unlike the previous two players, Syndergaard has become a household name in baseball. With 404 strikeouts by the age of 24, it's no wonder why. The pitcher they call Thor is one of MLB's best and will likely continue to provide great value for a 38th overall pick.
