5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/24/17
Robinson Chirinos has been crushing the ball recently, and he draws a solid matchup against Phil Hughes. Who else should you target for big-time fantasy value on Monday?

Joc Pederson, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers

FanDuel Price: $2,400

Joc Pederson has been hitting leadoff for the Los Angeles Dodgers against righties recently, and he will likely find himself in that spot against Matt Cain and the San Francisco Giants.

Cain has opened the season with an ugly 5.05 SIERA through three games. After posting a 4.67 in 2016 and 4.78 in 2015, I won't be holding my breath waiting for his numbers to get much better -- he's sporting a 6.8% swinging-strike rate that is on pace to be a career-worst while allowing only a 13.5% soft-hit rate, which would be his lowest since 2006.

Despite a slow start, Pederson has still been making some solid contact against righties, with a 34.6% hard-hit rate. Coming off a year that saw him tag righties for a .386 wOBA and .278 isolated slugging (ISO), this matchup with Cain is a really appealing one.
