Among the 300-plus hitters to notch at least 10 batted balls over the last 15 days, Desmond ranks seventh with an average exit velocity of 95.7 miles per hour. The sample this season isn't big, with only 31 plate appearances, but he is off to a hot start with a 52.6% hard-hit rate and 10.5% soft-hit rate. Hitting the ball like that at Coors Field is a recipe for big fantasy production.
