4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/8/17
Billy Hamilton stole nine bases last week, but the price of admission is getting too steep. Who else should you be avoiding in Monday's MLB DFS contests?

Jose Bautista, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

FanDuel Price: $3,600

It's been a while since I checked in on Jose Bautista in this space. Unfortunately, things haven't exactly improved.

We're over a month into the season, and Bautista is still striking out 30.4% of the time, and has just two home runs with a .087 isolated power (ISO).

Trevor Bauer and his 7.67 ERA might appear like a nice elixir for what ails him, but Bauer's SIERA is 3.86 and he has a 25.6% strikeout rate. A scary 41.0% hard-hit rate is still appealing, but Bautista hasn't exactly shown he's crushing mistakes with his poor power output, and his own 28.0% hard-hit rate.

Still, he does have a 5.3% home-run-to-fly-ball rate (HR/FB), well below his 16.4% career rate, so there's some hope for positive regression.

But even if this is just some prolonged slump, there's no buy-low value at his price point. He remains a guy to avoid, at least until his price drops.
