3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 5/10/17
Quietly off to a strong start, Tim Beckham and the Rays are in a great spot. Who else could have a big evening while potentially getting overlooked?

Melky Cabrera, OF, Chicago White Sox

FanDuel Price: $3,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Sporting the second-highest implied team total of the main slate (4.90 runs), Shin-Soo Choo and the Texas Rangers are likely to see high ownership, and for good reason. Recently put into the leadoff spot, Choo has posted back-to-back outings of 20.0-plus FanDuel points and could make it three against Luis Perdomo.

Melky Cabrera's 2017 hasn't exactly gotten off to a great start -- his .266 wOBA and .064 ISO would be the lowest marks of his big league career if he finished the year at this level of production.

Why You Should Use Him:

While Cabrera hasn't been great, he could get healthy in a hurry against Phil Hughes of the Minnesota Twins, who has struggled to a 4.79 SIERA and a 43.6% hard-hit rate against him to start the year.

Hughes did struggle with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome last year, but he had a tough time against left-handed bats -- they posted a .412 wOBA against Hughes, while righties were still successful, but much less so at .335.

Combined with a matchup in Guaranteed Rate Park -- which ranks ninth in home run factor over the last three years -- facing Hughes may be exactly what Cabrera needs to get his season on track.
