FanDuel Price: $9,500
With wind conditions effectively eliminating Kyle Hendricks from consideration, the next most expensive pitcher is Michael Fulmer. Fulmer has been off to a stellar start with a 2.54 ERA, and has put together four games of 40-plus FanDuel points, including a 58-point masterpiece against the Oakland Athletics.
Despite this, Fulmer seems primed for some regression moving forward. The ERA may look all nice and sparkly, but a mundane 3.75 SIERA says otherwise, and a .238 BABIP sure looks lucky. His 22.7% strikeout rate is perfectly fine, but lacks the upside of other options like Pineda or Cole.
He also gets, at best, a neutral matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, who have a 102 wRC+ and 21.8% strikeout rate against righties. The Orioles have a 4.38 implied team total.
As they say, past performance does not guarantee future results. Even on a slate with limited options, Fulmer isn't worth his high price.
