5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/19/17
Tyler Collins has been been making great contact this season, and has big upside against Nick Martinez and the Rangers. Who else should you target for big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Friday?

Tyler Collins, OF, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $2,600

The Detroit Tigers are one of the top offenses of the day for fantasy purposes, as they boast the day's second-highest implied total (4.77) in a matchup with Nick Martinez and the Texas Rangers.

Martinez has been pretty terrible through his major league career, with a 5.15 SIERA, including a 4.94 mark through five starts this season. Left-handed hitters in particular have given him a lot of trouble, with a career .348 wOBA and 5.69 xFIP.

Tyler Collins has been making some great contact recently, ranking 15th in average exit velocity over the past 15 days, and with an outstanding batted-ball profile against right-handed pitching this season (42.4% hard-hit rate, 10.6% soft-hit rate, 46.2% fly-ball rate) he's a cost-effective way to get exposure to some big upside in the Tigers' lineup.
