5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/23/17
Jed Lowrie has been excellent against righties this season, and he draws a good matchup against Jose Urena. Who else should you target for big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Tuesday?

Joey Gallo, 3B, Texas Rangers

FanDuel Price: $2,800

Like Fowler, Joey Gallo is probably better suited for tournaments than cash games, but his upside is tough to ignore.

Gallo has a 38.2% strikeout rate and only a .184 batting average on the year, which gives him a very low floor, but when he does make contact, good things tend to happen. He has a .342 wOBA despite the incredibly low average, and is sporting a big 44.9% hard-hit rate with a 62.8% fly-ball rate. He ranks ninth in average batted-ball distance over the past 15 days, and fourth in that category on the season.

Rick Porcello has a solid 3.60 SIERA, but he has a 4.49 xFIP against left-handed hitters, having allowed a big 47.6% hard-hit rate and 51.2% fly-ball rate against them. Those numbers are really concerning against a guy who makes hard contact the way Gallo does.
