In stark contrast to Kershaw, Jon Lester has hit 40 or more FanDuel points twice...through nine starts. But he's hit 30 or more seven times. If ever there was a guy who exemplified solid, but unspectacular, it's Lester this year.

The numbers reflect this, as well -- which includes a 3.83 SIERA, 23.9% strikeout rate, 9.3% walk rate, 54.4% ground-ball rate, and 24.7% hard-hit rate. Overall, there's a lot to like, but that's not a $10K pitcher, either.

He gets the San Francisco Giants, and their 78 wRC+ against lefties, at home -- with no wind blowing out -- so another solid performance should be in the cards. But what he brings in floor, he lacks in ceiling, particularly when compared to his fellow pricey hurlers, so he's better left for the cutting room floor than your lineup.
