In DFS, we love finding value leadoff hitters under $3,000. This is particularly true with middle infielders where we sometimes have limited choices.

And yet, you simply cannot take the bait on Alcides Escobar no matter how much you want to fit Scherzer or that last Coors bat in your lineup.

The Kansas City Royals keep teasing us by inexplicably leading off with Escobar, despite a .197 wOBA with zero home runs and zero stolen bases.

Until FanDuel prices him at $100, it's a hard pass on Escobar.
