5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/30/17
Matt Carpenter owns a 44.7% hard-hit rate against righties this season, and his matchup tonight with Kenta Maeda isn't an especially worrying one. Who else should you target for big-time fantasy value on Tuesday?

Matt Carpenter, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals

FanDuel Price: $3,000

While it may look like a rough matchup on the surface, Matt Carpenter is actually not in an especially bad spot tonight against Kenta Maeda.

Despite a promising 3.71 SIERA through his first two major league seasons, Maeda has struggled a bit with left-handed hitters, allowing a .319 wOBA with a 4.76 xFIP.

Carpenter's production is down a bit this year from where it was in the past two seasons, but he's still posting an outstanding batted-ball profile against right-handed pitching (44.7% hard-hit rate, 10.6% soft-hit rate, 48.2% fly-ball rate), which he has turned into a .379 wOBA, and he's way under-priced tonight.
