Daily Fantasy Baseball: Batted-Ball Positive Regression Candidates for Week 10
Nicholas Castellanos is hitting lefties hard, but isn't seeing the results DFS players are hoping for. Who else is due for some positive regression?

Yunel Escobar, 3B, Los Angeles Angels

Yunel Escobar is not someone most GPP players look to because of his supposed capped upside, but he has mashed lefties all season long.

Since May 1st, Escobar's average exit velocity against southpaws is 95.5 MPH, which is higher than guys like Paul Goldschmidt, Jose Abreu, and Manny Machado. He's also paired that with making soft contact against them just 2.4% of the time. Since coming back from the disabled list, 3 out of his last 5 batted-ball events against lefties have had an exit velocity greater than 100 MPH, yet he only has two singles to show for it.

Escobar was around $3,000 on FanDuel last week, and he will see one, possibly two lefties in a series against the Detroit Tigers over the next few days. If you want a player that's been underpriced and doesn't see a lot of ownership while still having some upside, this is your guy.
