FanDuel Price: $2,700
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
One of the hottest players in fantasy baseball over recent weeks is San Francisco Giants third baseman Eduardo Nunez. Over the last week, Nunez has posted 20.0-plus FanDuel points in four of his last seven, and even though he's facing Ervin Santana, his run of strong play is sure to lead to some strong ownership percentages.
Atlanta Braves rookie Rio Ruiz is certain to be a quiet play. In a condensed rookie campaign, he's posted only a .274 wOBA.
Why You Should Use Him:
Even though Ruiz has struggled to start his rookie campaign, there are plenty of reasons to like the cheap slugger.
First, he'll be swinging at the Braves new digs, which ranks best in all of baseball per Baseball Prospectus for park factor for left-handed hitters in 2017.
Second, he's facing Matt Harvey, so DFS owners could be in for a real treat. Thus far in 2017, Harvey's allowed a 34.1% hard-hit rate and 41.4% fly-ball rate to left-handed bats.
At a low price point with potential for a crooked number, Ruiz should be on many folks radar.
