Price: $12,500
Clayton Kershaw isn't quite the play that Greinke is, especially with a difference of nearly $2,000 in salary, but he's still a very strong fantasy option, especially in tournaments where Greinke's appeal will likely leave Kershaw with a lower ownership percentage.
It may be a slightly down year by Kershaw's usual standards, but his numbers are still terrific, which include a 2.97 SIERA, 29.2% strikeout rate and 12.9% swinging-strike rate. Those marks may not make him the definite lock we've seen him be in past seasons, but those are still great numbers from a fantasy perspective.
He also draws a decent matchup against the Cleveland Indians, who don't strikeout as much as you'd like to see, but tend to struggle against southpaws (83 wRC+).
