Luis Severino has shown some serious improvement in 2017. He's on pace to post career-best marks in just about every area, including a 3.18 SIERA, 28.0% strikeout rate and 12.1% swinging-strike rate.

He certainly hasn't been as impressive as Scherzer, but he's a lot cheaper and draws a significantly more fantasy-friendly matchup against the Oakland Athletics.

The A's have a middling 101 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season while also striking out at a top-three rate (24.6%), giving Severino some huge upside in this one.
