5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/20/17
Tommy Pham offers enticing upside tonight in a nice matchup against Phillies righty Jeremy Hellickson. Which other low-cost hitters are in a good spot?

Chris Carter, 1B, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $2,300

The New York Yankees have Tuesday's highest implied total (5.66) as they get warm weather with winds blowing out in a great matchup against Los Angeles Angels righty Parker Bridwell. The Angels' rookie has only managed a 4.36 SIERA through four career big-league games, and he posted a 4.06 xFIP in six games with Triple-A Salt Lake this year.

Chris Carter certainly doesn't offer much of a floor, with an ugly .295 wOBA on the year, but he has been making some great contact recently, ranking 25th in average exit velocity and 50th in average batted ball distance among hitters with at least 10 batted balls over the past 15 days. That leaves him with plenty of upside considering today's favorable weather conditions and great pitching matchup.
