Khris Davis has been crushing everything lately, but the balls have mostly been going for singles instead of extra bases.
Over the last seven days, the slugging outfielder owns a 5.6% soft-contact rate and an average exit velocity of 97.4 mph, which is good enough for third best in the entire league over that span. He had three extra-base hits last week to go along with three singles, and routinely saw his exit velocity numbers creep over 100 mph.
On Tuesday, Davis will have a great matchup with fly-ball pitcher Mike Fiers, while also facing R.A. Dickey and Bartolo Colon later in the week.
