It's no secret that Bryce Harper is one of the best hitters in the majors, and his terrific .445 wOBA and .310 isolated slugging (ISO) on the season reflect that. He also, of course, absolutely rakes against righties, with a .474 wOBA and .366 ISO.
He has been hitting the ball especially well lately though, ranking 1st in average exit velocity and 9th in average batted ball distance among the 340 hitters that have at least 10 batted balls since the All-Star break.
He brings that into a solid matchup tonight against Colorado Rockies righty German Marquez, who has turned in a 4.29 SIERA while allowing a 34.9% hard-hit rate and 12.9% soft-hit rate to left-handed bats in 2017.
