Clayton Kershaw's injury is, perhaps needless to say, a worst-case scenario for fantasy owners, who now find their main position of advantage to be a glaring zero, just in time for the stretch run of the season where the contenders are beginning to solidify their place in the fantasy standings.

Obviously no waiver-wire add is going to approximate the impact of that elite Dodgers lefty, but for Week 18, these five widely available starters should help crestfallen Kershaw shareholders and starter-needy owners at large piece together some quality fantasy production.
