Nolan Arenado has an absurd .406 ISO against southpaws, and he offers elite upside tonight in a Coors Field clash against Steven Matz.

Max Scherzer, P, Washington Nationals

Price: $11,500

We have two of the league's top fantasy pitchers in action today in Max Scherzer and Chris Sale, and while you can't go wrong with either guy, I give the slight edge to Scherzer.

His 2.75 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) ranks third among qualifying pitchers, while his 35.9% strikeout rate and 16.1% swinging-strike rate are both good for second. He has tallied fewer than 9 strikeouts in only 1 of his last 12 starts (and 5 of his 21 on the season), and he has been especially nasty in July, with a 16.7% swinging-strike rate and 39.1% strikeout rate through 5 starts.

His matchup today isn't anything special, but the Miami Marlins, who have a 20.5% strikeout rate and 97 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season, also aren't a team that should scare you, especially with how well Scherzer has been pitching lately.
