Fantasy Baseball: 6 Elite-Skills Relievers to Add for the Stretch Run in Rotisserie Leagues
They might not be in line for saves, but these top-tier bullpen arms should contribute quality innings and sneaky counting stats for rotisserie owners looking to make a title push.

Alex Claudio, Texas Rangers

ESPN Ownership: 23.1%

We have our answer as to the post-deadline fate of the Texas Rangers closing gig, but if you're hurting for the FAAB to speculate on Ranger saves, why not lay in the cut and "settle" for the player who might be their best bullpen arm.

Alex Claudio won't bowl you over with his modest 15.7% strikeout rate, but the 25-year-old lefty really makes his hay with his elite ground-ball rate, a 69.5% mark that's the second-highest among qualified relievers.

Claudio's been a bad-contact maven for the Rangers over the last two seasons, coaxing a 26% soft-hit rate and grounder-to-fly ratio just under four across 108-plus innings since the start of 2016.

He is, to be fair, a lefty specialist, despite some impressive platoon splits (2.42 ERA and 2.82 FIP in 52 career innings against right handers). Claudio hasn't been deployed by the Rangers to face a righty hitter since 2015.

But even if Claudio contributes only 20 more innings in limited use this season, his strong ratios might better serve conservative fantasy owners than those available from the more volatile starters that crowd the waiver wire.
