Start: August 10th vs. San Diego Padres

Luis Castillo survived a merciless run of matchups to begin his MLB career, cobbling together a 4.05 ERA in his first month of work despite two assignments each against the dynamite offenses of the Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks as well as a daunting road dates at the Colorado Rockies and New York Yankees.
The fire-balling Cincinnati Reds' youngster now gets the sink his teeth into some softer competition, with Thursday's scheduled start against the Padres an especially enticing one for streamers.
Castillo and his dynamite slider/changeup combo (both combining to "surrender" a total -28 wRC+ across 282 offerings) figure to chop up a San Diego team that's had a permanent residence near the top of the strikeout-rate leaderboard all season. A top-third offense in terms of reach rate and bottom-third in terms of out-of-zone contact, the Padres are unlikely to make Castillo pay for the 14.8% walk rate on his fastball.
Castillo seems like a "no brainer" add, with a solid floor and the upside to log one of the most dominant starts of the week.
