FanDuel Price: $7,400
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There's only one pitching option topping $9,000 tonight, and Zack Greinke of the Arizona Diamondbacks is sure to be a heavily owned arm. Despite facing the Houston Astros, Greinke and the Snakes are pretty heavy favorites (-146 money line). Meanwhile, other popular names, like Jose Quintana and Kevin Gausman, are rather affordable and in solid matchups.
With only two wins and a 4.45 ERA to his name, Jerad Eickhoff probably won't be a heavily-owned hurler on this smaller slate.
Why You Should Use Him:
There is no denying 2017 has been a struggle for Eickhoff and the Phillies. Thanks to missing some time due to a back injury, along with poor performance, Eickhoff is just now rounding into form. However, Eickhoff has pitched like a boss since returning from the disabled list.
He returned on July 7th, and in the 34 2/3 innings that followed, the right-hander has posted a 3.38 ERA, 24.2% strikeout, and 32.3% hard-hit rate allowed.
Combine all that with a matchup with the Padres, who rank 29th in team wOBA (.301) with a 25.2% strikeout rate, and Eickhoff makes for a sneaky play.
