It's undoubtedly been a disappointing season for Steven Matz, but he's shown incremental improvements lately. Although it hasn't translated to results, he has a respectable 4.17 SIERA and 51.3% ground-ball rate over his last five starts. The punchout rate remains low (17.4% rate), and it's a far cry from last year's version, but perhaps Matz is finding some semblance of his previous form. The New York Yankees have an underwhelming 4.01 implied team total and lose the designated hitter at Citi Field.

Aaron Hicks continues to perform in defiance of his past mediocrity, but you can find better value in the outfield. He has hit two homers in 32 plate appearances since getting activated off the disabled list, but that's been accompanied by just a 24.0% hard-hit rate.
