Excluding his one-inning outing when he left with an injury earlier this month, Schezer has at least nine strikeouts in seven straight starts, with double-digit strikeouts on 13 different occasions in 2017.

He's in a terrific spot to put up another one of those games against a San Diego Padres team that has struck out at the second-highest rate in the majors (25.3%) against right-handed pitching while also posting an 88 wRC+.
